PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) The second Mid-Career Management Course for officers of technical departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was launched at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar on Monday.

UET Peshawar was organizing the 10-week Mid-Career Management Course for Technical Departments (MCMC-Tech) in collaboration with the Provincial Services academy (PSA), KP, to enhance the professional, managerial and leadership capabilities of officers from the Public Health Engineering and Communication and Works (C&W) departments.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, UET Peshawar Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak urged participants to fully benefit from the training and draw on best practices at national and international levels.

He stressed the need for public-sector professionals to continuously update their knowledge, embrace emerging technologies and respond effectively to changing institutional requirements.

He highlighted good governance, innovation and adherence to institutional roadmaps as key factors in improving public-sector performance.

He also appreciated Director CEEC Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Khan and his team for organizing the course.

PSA Director General Zubair Qureshi said government departments faced increasing scrutiny over the quality and effectiveness of services they delivered to citizens.

He emphasized that public-sector officers must demonstrate professionalism, efficiency and excellence in service delivery.

Provincial Services Academy KP Chief Instructor Abdul Sattar said the 10-week course would comprise seven comprehensive modules covering ethics, national security, modern engineering concepts, public administration, planning and management, climate resilience, information technology and Artificial Intelligence.

He said the training would go beyond theoretical learning by encouraging participants to develop practical solutions, strengthen professional capabilities and improve decision-making skills throughout their careers.
