CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, practical measures are being taken to ensure safer journeys for citizens, with the Traffic Police education Unit launching an awareness campaign on road safety and traffic rules under the supervision of DSP Traffic Khurram Shahzad.
As part of the campaign, In-charge Traffic Education Unit Sub-Inspector Syed Ali Raza on Monday delivered an awareness lecture at the Police Driving school, educating citizens about traffic regulations and road safety measures. An awareness walk was also organised on the occasion to highlight the importance of responsible road use.
The citizens were briefed on the procedure for obtaining driving licences, dangers of overspeeding, the importance of lane and line discipline and compliance with other traffic rules.
Awareness pamphlets carrying information about road safety and traffic regulations were also distributed among the participants.
District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif while exclusively talking to APP, said practical steps were being taken to protect citizens and prevent traffic accidents, alongside an ongoing public awareness campaign. He urged citizens to strictly follow traffic rules to ensure their own safety and that of others, obtain valid driving licences and refrain from allowing minor children to drive vehicles.
