DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) A delegation of traders from Dera Ismail Khan participated in an online meeting organized by the Federal board of Revenue (FBR) regarding the Tajir Asaan Scheme to discuss taxation-related matters and seek greater facilitation for the business community.
The delegation included Central President Sohail Ahmed Azmi, Muhammad Ramzan, Sheikh Majeed, Khalid Hussain, Amanullah Daultani, Nauman Niazi and FBR Deputy Commissioner D.I. Khan Malik Muhammad Riaz.
Trader representatives from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala also participated in the online session.
The traders discussed various aspects of the Tajir Asaan Scheme, particularly registration procedures, filing of income tax returns, turnover tax, audit requirements, Point of Sale (POS), withholding agents and other facilities available to registered traders.
The participants highlighted the need for practical and simplified procedures so that traders can comply with tax requirements without facing unnecessary difficulties.
They also emphasized greater coordination between the FBR and traders’ organizations to address business community concerns.
The meeting was attended by senior FBR officials and representatives of traders’ organizations, including State Minister for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran President Ajmal Baloch and Central Anjuman-e-Tajiran Pakistan President Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry.
The trader representatives urged the business community to take advantage of the Tajir Asaan Scheme and join the formal tax network. They said the scheme could provide greater ease to traders by simplifying tax-related procedures.
The participants also discussed the provision of exemptions from certain audit, inspection and POS-related procedures for eligible traders, subject to the condition that their turnover does not exceed Rs200 million.
The D.I. Khan traders stressed that continued consultation between traders’ organizations and the FBR was essential for making the scheme more effective and ensuring that the concerns of traders across the country were properly addressed.
