HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2026) The Employees Union of Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Corporation (HW&SC) has emerged successful in the referendum held here on Thursday to elect the representative Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA).

According to the unofficial results, the Employees Union received 732 votes followed by the Labour Union with 331 votes and Mehran Workers Union with 105 votes.

Some 6 polling stations were set up for the referendum through which the maiden CBA union of HW&SC has been elected.

As many as 2,123 employees of the corporation, including 370 regular employees, were registered to vote.

The referendum was held on the order of Registrar Trade Unions which had earlier scheduled the polling for April 16 but the process was deferred.

Two polling stations were set up in parts of Latifabad taluka and one each in the Civic Center, New Filter Plant, Tulsi Das pumping station in City taluka and Qasimabad taluka
