Speaking on a private television programme, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said the government had scheduled negotiations after 2 days.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami had staged sit-ins against the increase in petrol prices and the levy, adding that removing the levy and some taxes could reduce the price of petrol by Rs106.
