ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Sep, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the chief secretaries and inspectors general of police (IGPs) of all four provinces in person on Thursday in a petition challenging the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) September 27 protest and long march.

The court also directed the Chief Commissioner, Inspector General of Police and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to appear in person.

Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar issued a three-page written order after hearing the petition against the proposed PTI protest and long march.

The court also constituted a larger bench to hear the matter. The bench, headed by Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar, comprises Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Muhammad Asif.

According to the written order, the petition had been filed by a businessman concerning the proposed protest. The petitioner’s counsel apprised the court of the losses and damage allegedly caused by protests.
