ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday visited Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, where he reviewed the immigration process at the counters.
The Interior Minister met passengers travelling abroad and inquired about the immigration process and their experience.
During the Interior Minister’s visit, the immigration system went down. Mohsin Naqvi immediately contacted the relevant authorities by telephone and directed them to resolve the technical issue at the earliest.
The Interior Minister further directed that alternative arrangements must be kept in place in case the system goes down. He emphasized that the immigration process must not stop under any circumstances.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also ordered FIA officers to take strict action against passengers travelling on fake documents. He stated that passengers carrying incomplete or unverified documents must not be allowed to travel under any circumstances.
