PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan on Monday ordered officials to improve the delivery of clean drinking water and sanitation services in Tank district and remove bottlenecks delaying ongoing schemes.
Chairing a review meeting, the minister examined the status of water supply and sanitation projects, the functioning of existing schemes and issues affecting residents.
The Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering Tank briefed the meeting on various ongoing schemes, their progress and operational challenges. Officials also discussed rehabilitation, repair and upgrading of water supply schemes to meet growing public needs.
Fazal Shakoor Khan directed officials to accelerate development work and ensure the timely completion and proper functioning of all approved schemes.
He said access to clean drinking water was a basic public need and the government would not tolerate unnecessary delays or negligence in providing the facility.
The minister also ordered authorities to strengthen sanitation and drainage facilities and complete related projects within the prescribed timelines.
