CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Member of the Council of Islamic Ideology and Provincial General Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Ulema and Mashaikh Wing, Maulana Amjad, has said Pakistan is currently dealing with two major challenges simultaneously—combating terrorism and playing an important role in tensions between Iran and the United States.

Addressing a press conference at Madrasa Amir Hamza along with Qari Haq Nawaz Rahimi on Monday , Maulana Amjad said both issues were of vital national importance. He lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s economic initiatives, saying efforts to steer the national economy towards stability and improvement would be remembered as a significant achievement. He expressed optimism that economic conditions would continue to improve and the pace of development would accelerate.

Maulana Amjad said Pakistan would soon regain its lost position, noting that the international community was increasingly recognising the country’s positive and active role in regional and global affairs. He stressed that Pakistan’s constructive engagement on important regional issues was strengthening its standing in the international community.

Referring to the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference held in Chenabnagar, he said prominent religious scholars were participating in the gathering and addressing the participants, adding that such events further strengthened religious sentiments among the people. On the occasion, notifications and cards were distributed among office-bearers of the PML-N Ulema and Mashaikh Wing, with a large number of party workers attending the event.
