RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Managing Director, Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi, Rana Sajid Safdar visited Committee Chowk Family Park to inspect ongoing sanitation operations and review the attendance of sanitation workers.
During the visit, the Suthra Punjab communication team also conducted a cleanliness and anti-smog awareness campaign at National Market, distributing informational pamphlets among shopkeepers and sensitizing them about responsible waste disposal and measures to curb air pollution.
Rana Sajid Safdar directed the operations staff to further strengthen field monitoring and ensure strict compliance with workers' attendance. He said that, in line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, there was zero tolerance for negligence or dereliction of duty.
He urged all officers and workers to perform their duties with honesty and responsibility and continue working diligently to provide citizens with a clean and healthy environment.
The MD said that, alongside cleanliness, tackling environmental pollution and smog was also among the agency's key priorities. He urged citizens and shopkeepers to refrain from burning waste and instead dispose of it in designated waste bins or hand it over to sanitation workers.
He also stressed the need for water sprinkling before sweeping operations and timely repair and maintenance of smoke-emitting vehicles to help control air pollution.
The communication team briefed citizens about avenues for lodging sanitation-related complaints, including the 1139 helpline, the Suthra Punjab Citizen App, and the agency's social media pages.
Manager Operations District Rawalpindi Amir Younis Naik, Manager Operations City Syed Hassan Sardar and other operations staff were also present on the occasion. They briefed the MD on ongoing sanitation operations and field activities across the city.
