KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Sep, 2026) Pakistan Cricket Club won the Master Oil Inter-Club Cricket Tournament, defeating Alamgir Gymkhana by 109 runs in the final at KCCA Stadium.

Pakistan Cricket Club, batting first, posted 299 for six in 40 overs. Umair Bin Yousuf top-scored with a brilliant 98, hitting seven fours and three sixes, while Jahanzeb Sultan made 88 with five fours and six sixes. Khawaja Muhammad Nafay scored 40 and Rameez Aziz remained unbeaten on 33.

Muhammad Yaqoob and Abdul Hayee took three wickets each for Alamgir Gymkhana.

The tournament, organised by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi (RCAK) with the support of Master Oil, featured 237 club teams from different zones of Karachi.

Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony as chief guest, RCAK Vice President Tabish Javed said the association had set a new record by organising the largest club cricket tournament in the city's history.

He said RCAK President Nadeem Umar's vision was to organise maximum club cricket tournaments in Karachi so that players could get greater opportunities to showcase and develop their skills.

Javed appreciated Master Oil for its cooperation in promoting club cricket and said the partnership would continue at regional and zonal levels.

RCAK Vice President Syed Muhammad Talha said Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Ground was now also available for regional cricket and matches would be held there. He congratulated the tournament committee for successfully organising the event.

Chairman RCAK Tournament Committee Khalid Nafees said club cricket was being organised regularly across Karachi's zones under the leadership of Nadeem Umar.

He said the association's objective was to provide maximum opportunities to players and clubs across the city.

RCAK Joint Secretary Muhammad Touseef Siddiqui thanked the participating clubs, organisers and officials for their cooperation in successfully conducting the tournament involving 237 teams.

At the prize distribution ceremony, Tabish Javed presented the winner's trophy and Rs200,000 prize money to Pakistan Cricket Club captain Rameez Aziz, while the runners-up trophy and Rs100,000 were presented to Alamgir Gymkhana captain Kashif Ali.

Fazal Subhan was named best batsman, Nadir Shah best bowler and Umair Bin Yousuf received the award for his performance in the final. Dr Arif Hafeez received the Media Coordinator Award.

RCAK assistant secretaries Muhammad Ali Naqvi, Zafar Ahmad and Rehan Siddiqui, zonal officials and a large number of players also attended the ceremony.
