PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Oct, 2026) District Administration Peshawar, along with officials of Capital Metropolitan Government, carried out an operation against encroachments on Circular Road and demolished most of the encroachments from Ramdas Chowk to Asiya Gate with the help of heavy machinery.

The purpose of the operation is to clear public passages on Circular Road and its adjacent areas from encroachments, widen roads and eliminate obstacles hindering traffic flow.

Due to encroachments, citizens faced difficulties in commuting, while traffic pressure on roads also increased.

During the operation, encroachments were removed with the help of heavy machinery.

The aim of this initiative is to make commuting easier for citizens, restore public pathways and improve the traffic system in the city.

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Afaq Wazir has directed the relevant authorities to continue operations for the removal of encroachments across the city consistently and to take effective measures to prevent re-establishment of encroachments in areas from where they have been removed.

He clarified that indiscriminate action will continue against illegal encroachments established on government land, roads and public passages. Measures will be taken in collaboration with all relevant institutions for improvement of civic facilities, traffic flow and restoration of public places.
