ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Sep, 2026) Prime Minister’s Adviser Senator Rana Sanaullah has said that intelligence agencies have reported that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is planning to repeat a mistake bigger than May 9 on Sept 27, adding that no court will allow armed groups to march on Islamabad.

Speaking on GTV news, he said the government would comply if a court ordered that PTI be allowed to hold a protest and provided security. However, he said he was certain that no court could issue such an order.

He said no court could allow an armed group to attack its government or the capital.

He said the group wanted to march on Islamabad in an armed formation, adding that if Islamabad were attacked, it would become a subject of ridicule across the world and the lives and property of everyone, including foreign diplomats, would be at risk.

He said neither the Constitution nor the law allowed such an armed group to attack the capital, and no court would permit it; such activities should be prevented.

Permission for a protest could be granted subject to three basic conditions: no person would be armed; an assurance would be given that the protest would remain peaceful; and the terms of the protest long march would be settled in consultation with the Islamabad administration.

However, he asked who would trust a party with May 9 to its credit. He said the reports by the agencies were being further verified and that PTI was going to repeat a mistake bigger than May 9 on Sept 27, something it itself did not realize. He said it would be better for PTI to review its conduct.
