ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday urged the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to adopt a democratic approach and avoid politics of agitation, saying political differences should be resolved through dialogue and negotiations.
Speaking to a private television channel, he said the government would not allow any group to create a law and order situation through long marches or protest demonstrations. He recalled the May 9 incident and advised the PTI leadership not to repeat such actions in the future.
Responding to a question about dialogue with the PTI, Rana Sanaullah said political matters should be settled through negotiations, stressing that dialogue remained the appropriate way to resolve political differences.
On the proposal for creating new provinces, he said the matter should be discussed at the relevant forums and taken forward through consensus among political parties.
The adviser also referred to proposals for holding local government elections, saying greater transfer of powers to the grassroots level could improve public service delivery and enable local institutions to address citizens’ issues more effectively.
