RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has intensified dengue control and surveillance activities in private housing schemes to prevent the spread of the disease and protect public health.

According to an RDA spokesman, the drive was launched on the directions of the Commissioner, Rawalpindi Division and Director General RDA Salman Ghani.

Additional Director General RDA Masood Ahmad Bukhari supervised a field inspection to review the implementation of dengue control measures in Bahria Town and Gulraiz Housing Scheme.

During the inspection, indoor and outdoor surveillance activities were physically verified, and their compliance with prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) was reviewed.
