HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) A public hearing was held at village Dhaklo in Chachro taluka to seek public opinion on the proposed inclusion of Tappa Jalaluddin Sangrasi in Islamkot taluka instead of Chachro and the new delimitation of administrative boundaries.

According to a handout issued on Tuesday, the public hearing was organized on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Haleem Jagirani and chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Hashim Masood. Local residents, landlords and other stakeholders presented their views, suggestions and objections.

Sindh Assembly member Faqir Sher Muhammad Bilalani, Assistant Commissioner Chachro Muhammad Usman Khaskheli, Mukhtiarkar Chhachhro Salam Samejo, officials of various government departments, social and political leaders, stakeholders and a large number of residents attended the hearing.

Addressing the gathering, MPA Faqir Sher Muhammad Bilalani said the Sindh government always gave priority to the interests of the people. He said the purpose of the public hearing was to reach a decision through mutual consultation and consensus.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Hashim Masood said the district administration always tried to take decisions in the public interest so that the area and its people could benefit.

He said Tappa Jalaluddin Sangrasi had a population of around 20,000 to 25,000, while only 200 to 300 people attended the hearing. Therefore, he said, no immediate decision could be taken without considering all aspects of the matter. He stressed the need for further serious deliberation and made it clear that no decision would be imposed against the wishes of the people.

Hashim Masood said government institutions were responsible for providing people with speedy justice and relief. He assured the participants that their suggestions would be given due importance and a decision would be taken in the best public interest.

The residents also highlighted various problems faced by people in the area. In response, the additional deputy commissioner directed Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khaskheli and Mukhtiarkar Salam Samejo to visit the field and resolve public issues at people's doorsteps.

He also directed the officers to fix specific timings for meeting citizens at their offices so that people visiting government offices did not face unnecessary difficulties.
