GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2026) An awareness and training session on protection of women from workplace harassment was held at the Gujrat campus of the University of Chenab to sensitise students and faculty members about legal rights and complaint procedures.

According to an official source, Punjab Ombudsperson for Protection of Women Dr Najma Afzal Khan attended the session as chief guest and briefed participants about legal rights, complaint mechanisms and institutional responsibilities.

She said provision of a safe and dignified environment for women was a shared responsibility and urged students and faculty members to remain aware of their rights and approach the relevant forum in case of any untoward incident.
