markets and commercial areas across the city.
Under the cleanliness arrangements, people found throwing waste would initially
be given warnings and educate about cleanliness laws instead of facing immediate

the laws and heavy fines would be imposed on people found throwing or burning
waste on roads.
The Suthra Punjab Lahore anti-littering squad had been tasked with taking action

could inflict a fine from Rs1,000 to Rs50,000. A fine of Rs1,000 to Rs2,000 would be
imposed for prohibited plastic bags at shops and shopping malls.
Burning waste could result in a fine charge from Rs100,000 to Rs500,000 and
imprisonment for up to two years. Moreover, burning tyres by a factory or an individual
could attract a fine of up to Rs500,000 and imprisonment for up to 7 years.
To ensure transparency, all fines would be deposited only through banking or digital
