KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2026) Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that they migrated to Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan but were pushed into Bhutto’s Pakistan.

Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the motherland is only Pakistan, while provinces are merely administrative units and nothing more. He said declaring the division of provinces treason is the greatest treason, adding that all political parties are now echoing their voice.

He said Sindh’s urban areas have suffered the greatest exploitation.

The APMSO manifesto mentioned the province, and it has now become the voice of the entire country, he added. He said MQM’s first demand is that provinces should be formed across the country based on population.

He said, “Give us our province and we will implement Article 140-A ourselves.” He said they were not allowed to table a resolution against Sindhudesh in the Sindh Assembly, adding that there is no need to present a lengthy argument today about why provinces should be created.

Khalid Maqbool said they had migrated to Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan but were pushed into Bhutto’s Pakistan. “First conduct a census and then honestly prepare voter lists. Karachi’s population today is more than 20 million. A state that cannot conduct a census can conduct demographic analysis,” he said.
